What you see here is a Heatilator gas fireplace with a gorgeous Cultured Stone® stone veneer in what they call Chardonnay (the color) Alpine Pro-fit (the cut of the veneer). Cultured Stone offers their Pro-fit line in either Regular or Alpine styles, the difference being the Alpine version has more dimension in the stone and a little more irregularity compared to the Pro-fit version. Think rustic ski lodge in the Swiss Alps.

The beautiful, earthy tones of the Cultured Stone Alpine Pro-fit surround are framed by a striking, mission style hearth and mantel from Fireside Furnishings. In case you want to put this particular model on your shortlist, it’s called the “Plymouth.” It’s available in unfinished oak or maple, or primed MDF (medium density fiberboard). Fireside Furnishings wisely chooses to let you make the decision on how you want your hearth to be finished. In addition to installing the fireplace and hearth, we can also stain or paint the wood however you choose.

Lastly, a word about the hearthstones you see here. Although not necessary with a gas fireplace, since you have no logs to store and no risk of sparks or embers shooting out of the fireplace onto your floor, a fireplace without a hearthstone just seems to be missing something. The cost of adding a few cultured stone hearthstones in front of your fireplace installation is really not that much when you consider how much it adds to the overall ambiance of the fireplace.
