Mukwonago Fireplace Remodel With Stone Veneer

This is one of those fireplaces that really brings out the “Wow!” The floor-to-ceiling masonry work you see here is a Nantucket stacked stone by Eldorado, with a row of complementary colored hearthstones topping the ledge. The glass door is courtesy of Design Specialties, one of dozens we carry in our Waukesha fireplace showroom. And the distinctive burned finish of the mantle ties in great with the rustic feel of the stone surround.

You wouldn’t know from looking at this fireplace, but it’s a total remodel of an existing fireplace. We removed the ugly, soot-stained 1950s brick façade and installed this great looking stone veneer over the concrete block structure of the fireplace. Then we added the glass door.
