Here's something you don't see every day: A fireplace on a balcony! When the builder approached us with a request for a bid on this project, we leapt at the opportunity. The whole idea of having a fireplace on a covered balcony so you can enjoy the outdoor space even in winter is just fantastic.

For this fireplace, our Waukesha stonemasons built a gorgeous ceiling-high fireplace with multi-hued cultured stone. We also added the white wood mantle to tie in with the wooden support beams of the balcony. Because this fireplace is partially outdoors, the owners opted for a wood-burning fireplace. Indoors, they chose a gas fireplace for ease of use and minimal maintenance.
