Fireplace Refacing for South Milwaukee Homeowner
Fireplace Refacing for South Milwaukee Homeowner
Here’s a great example of how refacing an existing fireplace can give an old hearth a whole new look. We refaced this fireplace with stone veneer from Pro-Line. A light colored mortar and natural-hued hearthstones complement this veneer beautifully. For the finishing touch, we installed a dark stained maple mantel above the fireplace.
Ah, but what about that fireplace? Originally a wood burning fireplace, it’s been retrofitted with a Heat & Glo gas fireplace insert (their Supreme model, to be specific). The great thing about a gas fireplace insert is how easy it is to use. Just turn it on and you have a fire. No messing with logs, no smoke filling your living room, no ashes to clean up. And just as nice—when you’re done enjoying the fire you just turn it off!
If you have an old fireplace with a brick surround that’s seen better days, refacing may be the perfect solution for you. And if your wood burning fireplace has become more hassle than it’s worth, consider having a gas fireplace insert installed. Our Waukesha fireplace showroom has 20 or more working fireplaces on display, so it’s a great place to get an idea of what’s possible. Stop by and have a look around.
