Menomonee Falls Fireplace Makeover
Menomonee Falls Fireplace Makeover
Here’s a great example of how an old brick fireplace surround can get a fresh new look just by installing stone veneer over the existing brick. The owners of this Menomonee Falls home were planning on having new carpeting installed and thought it would be a good time to update the 1950s red brick fireplace surround. After visiting our Waukesha fireplace showroom, where we have dozens of stone veneer fireplace surrounds on display, as well as samples from some of the top stone veneer manufacturers, they took home a couple of sample boards to narrow down their choices.
The photo on the right shows the completed work Badgerland Fireplace did. The floor to ceiling veneer is “Echo Ridge Country Ledgestone” by Boral, a color that complements the new carpeting perfectly. To keep the look light, but earthy, we used a linen-toned mortar. Tying it all together is a solid Bedford stone hearth. If you’re wondering about the unique mantel, it’s one the homeowners had custom-built.
Do you have an old brick fireplace in your house or condominium? Upgrading to a stone veneer surround is a cost-effective way to get a whole new look and add value to your home. Working with both natural stone veneer and cultured stone veneer, our Waukesha fireplace design and installation specialists can turn even the dowdiest fireplace into one you’ll love snuggling up to.
